Between the old terraces of vines of Cabreira and Retrotoiro, on the banks of the river Sil, where the monks raised the monastery of San Vicente de Pombeiro in the 12th century, in the heart of Galicia, is located the wine cellar Adega Pena das Donas.

We bet on the native variety Mencia, basing our production exclusively in the grapes from vineyards located on the slopes of the river Sil, that benefits by an exceptional microclimate for its production.

After receiving the bunches in the winery, they pass through a selection table, preventing the entry of that has unwanted fermentations. Our priority objective is to achieve the highest quality in the source, thus obtaining, after going through oak barrels, a wine of high expression.
